Additional Information
In ancient cultures turquoise was used for adornment as well as a symbol of wealth.   Today, it is thought that if turquoise has been gifted by a friend, the stone would protect the wearer from negative energy and bring good fortune.   Turquoise is a symbol of friendship.  It also brings peace to the home.

There are various shades found in turquoise form shades of blue, to blue-green, and even some shading of sutble brown-veined greens.   A stone looking more green will have more iron in the stone, while one looking more blue has more copper in it.
